BIG UP!

I started exploring radio in 1985 at Radio Falmer, Sussex University's fabled medium wave campus station, and got involved in Festival Radio having produced shows in the late 1980s for Brighton's legendary pirate radio station, Faze FM. My memories of all this are pretty hazy to say the least, but what I do remember is the wonderful sense of togetherness (coffee and food runs to the heroes taking turns broadcasting from a bush in the Sussex countryside), and that we were not only offering something beautiful for the community but also providing an outlet for a variety of excellent DJs (including the then budding Fatboy Slim AKA Norman Cook). Since then I've been lucky enough to continue DJing (both live and on the radio) including a few years on Kiss FM with Manasseh and now Reggae Heaven on K2K in London. BIG UP!
